Ambassador Tigran Balayan's meetings in Luxembourg

On January 27, Ambassador Tigran Balayan met with members of the CSV faction of the Luxembourg’s Chamber of Deputies Claude Weasler and Laurent Mozart, presenting them with the RA National Assembly Medals of Honor. T. Balayan stressed that through the medals of honor of the Armenian parliament the National Assembly expresses its appreciation for the contribution made over the years in the sphere of development of bilateral relations, for the adoption of the motions by the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg on recognition of the Armenian Genocide and condemnation of the Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression against Artsakh.

For the establishment of lasting peace in the South Caucasus region T. Balayan emphasized the role of the EU legislature, which has a huge political and legal toolkit to hold the aggressors accountable and neutralize possible new threats.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the promotion of the Armenian-Luxembourg parliamentary ties, as well as on the prospects of multifaceted cooperation in bilateral relations.

On the same day, Ambassador Tigran Balayan had an effective discussion with Eric Bruch and François Prescator, the board members of the newly established Luxembourg-Armenia Friendship Association on closer cooperation in the humanitarian, economic, cultural, and educational spheres. In Luxembourg, Ambassador Tigran Balayan paid courtesy calls to the Ambassadors of Russia, the Netherlands, and France.
